Forrest Woods Nature Preserve Species Inventory
This master list is a compilation of all the species records for Forrest Woods Nature Preserve. This list contains extensive records compiled by Marshal A. Moser Jr. in the 1980s, 2000 and 2001. Mr. Moser’s inventory focused was mostly for plants and birds, but also noted other species incidentally observed. Mr. Marshal’s inventory also includes records from the Division of Natural Areas and Preserves, a timber cruise completed by Steve Siam and extensive bird records provided by Micki Dunakin. This master list includes additional records that have been observed more recently by Micki Dunakin, Terri Gorney, John Jaeger and Rob Krain. The Conservancy encourages visitors to report sightings of any species that are not included here. Please provide photographs and/or GPS coordinates whenever possible.
