a. Senior Engineer (Electrical)
Qualification:
Full-Time degree in Engineering in Electrical with minimum First Class or 60%
Marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/ Deemed University Or
Institute recognized by AICTE.
Experience:
Candidate should have relevant post qualification work experience in preparation of
SLD & Load Calculation/ Formulation of Technical specification/ Estimation/
Supervision during execution. Experience in Commercial functions, Contract
negotiations and Materials procurement would be an added advantage.
b. Senior Engineer (Civil)
Qualification:
Full-Time degree in Engineering in Civil with minimum First Class or 60% Marks or
equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/ Deemed University Or Institute
recognized by AICTE.
Experience:
Post qualification relevant work experience in cost estimation and site work
supervision, formulation of technical specification for construction / repair works
in respect of industrial workshops/ buildings/ marine structures viz. wharves,
jetties, basins, dry docks etc. Exposure to design of civil structures would be an
added advantage.
6. SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection for the above mentioned posts will be by way of Personal Interview. However, In the event of large number of applications received, management may decide to hold a Written Test followed by Personal Interview. 7. AGE RELAXATION:
a. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC and 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy layer). The same is relaxed by 10 years for PWD-General, 13 years for PWD-OBC (NCL) and 15 years for PWD-SC Candidates. b. In case of Ex-servicemen, the upper age limit will be relaxed to the extent of number of years served in Military Service. However, the resultant age after deducting the period of service from the actual age should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than 3 years. c. Upper Age will be relaxed to the extent of maximum 5 years for internal candidates.
d. The OBC candidates, who belong to Creamy Layer, are not entitled for concession
admissible to OBC category and such candidates; therefore need to indicate their category as ‘General’. The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates need to submit the requisite certificate in prescribed format for Central Government jobs from a Competent Authority. The said certificate should not be more than one year old. 8. HOW TO APPLY:
a. Application form may be downloaded from MDL website www.mazagondock.gov.in. b. Applications should be submitted strictly as per the prescribed format available on c. All instructions as given on the MDL website must be adhered to, failing which, the applicant will be disqualified for the post. d. Name of the post applied for, should be super scribed on the envelope containing e. The application should contain self attested copy of the following i. Copy of proof of age, ii. SSC or equivalent certificate, iii. Degree Certificate & Marks Sheets, iv. Certificates in support of Post Qualification Experience. v. Caste certificate in the prescribed format/ Certificate of Disability (if applicable). f. One recent passport size photograph is to be pasted on the form and one extra g. Applications must be forwarded through Postal/ Courier services only. Applications forwarded through any other means including by Fax, e-mail or hand delivery will not be entertained. h. Applications complete in all respects must reach the Deputy General Manager (HR- CR), HR Corporate Section, Mazdock House, Mazagon Dock Limited, Dockyard
Road, Mumbai 400 010 on or before 11.10.2013. MDL will not be responsible for
any delay/ loss in postal transit of any application or communication. Applications
incomplete/ unsigned or without relevant documents will not be considered.
Candidates employed in PSU/ Govt. and applying through proper channel should
send an advance copy within the prescribed time limit.
9. GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:
a. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply. b. Outstation Candidates called for interview shall be reimbursed Third AC Rail/ Luxury Bus by the shortest route from the address of communication given in the application form. c. All original documents such as Degree Certificate, proof of Date of Birth, Caste Certificate, Experience Certificate, etc. will be checked at the time of interview. Non-production of original documents will debar the candidate from appearing for the interview and in that case no Travel Fare will be reimbursed to such candidates. d. Candidature of a candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligible criteria mentioned in the advertisement. e. Candidates short-listed for appointment following interview will have to undergo a medical test conducted/organized by the Company and certified by the Company’s Medical Officer, which may require them to halt at Mumbai for a day or two at their own expenses. f. The Qualifying Requirement/ Experience & Age limit shall be reckoned as on the last date of application i.e. 11.10.2013. g. Applicants must ensure that their applications reach the DGM (HR-CR) by the due date. Late applications will not be entertained. h. Incomplete applications will be rejected. i.
