Managing Multiple Projects Effectively
When managing multiple projects in separate places, using different tools for planning, hours are wasted on bouncing from one schedule to another. Moreover, it is impossible tohave a whole picture of all projects, which will inevitably result in conflicting due dates and personal schedule conflicts, and therefore will damage the project delivery time. Separatedproject schedules make it extremely hard to figure out task sequences and priorities across multiple projects.
as project management has caught on in the commercial world, many companies are now finding themselves with multiple projects in work and not enough project managers. Since many of these projects are not large enough to dedicate a project manager to, many project managers are now finding themselves managing two, three, or more projects. juggling this many projects has its own unique set of problems and issues.
this practical course will discuss issues involved in managing large programmes consisting of multiple projects. there are unique issues involved in coordinating the work of multipleprojects so as to achieve the goals of the programme.
this course will demonstrate how you can overcome those problems by building a multi-project list that manage projects, programs, and portfolios in a multi-project environmentand creating processes and procedures that improve the success rate of projects.
