Dave was surprised on Tuesday, October 15,
when he was working on the ambulance at house
3 and was called to house 1 for an important is-
sue. Once he arrived he was told 3 firefighters
and 2 police officers were waiting for him in the
boardroom. To his surprise many of the staff of
SFCAD were waiting along with a miniature fire
truck, police car, ambulance, 3 toy firefighters,
and 3 toy police officers. All was to celebrate
“Bosses Day” and show the SFCAD Staff’s appre-
ciation for all he does. I think it shows some-
thing that the staff had to find a way to get him
to come from house 3 where he was working on

Safe Neighborhood Hero’s Grant William Sedgwick and Jamie Wagganer were repre-
senting St. Francois County Ambulance District when
they accepted a grant of $1200.00 from Julie Hulsey
of Wal-Mart. This is the first year the ambulance has
received the grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation and
the presentation was made at the Wal-Mart Super-
center in Farmington. The money was used to offset
some of the costs from SFCAD’s EMS Week picnic in

What started our as a few pages and make a few copies is growing and growing. Initial circulation was to just the staff of SFCAD, then moved to 25 copies for the hospitals. Then we started sending to fire departments, now I expect circu-lation to top out over 100 copies minimum each month. With that I would like to welcome all who this is the first issue of the SFCAD News. We try to give our staff mem-bers something to read about, and at the same time give some insight to the communities ambulance service.
