Echinacea Quarz comp. Augentropfen
Anthroposophical medicinal product for use in superinfected, allergic conjunctivitis
Indications
according to the anthroposophical understanding of humankind and nature.
Indications include:
Superinfections in the case of allergic conjunctivitis.
Contraindications:
This medicinal product should not be used in the case of hypersensitivity to any of the active
substances or to other plants of the Compositae family.
In principle, Echinacea Quarz comp. Augentropfen must not be used in progressive systemic
diseases such as tuberculosis, leukaemia or leukaemoid diseases, inflammatory diseases of
the connective tissue (collagen diseases), multiple sclerosis, AIDS, HIV infection, chronic
viral diseases or other autoimmune diseases.
Precautions for use and warnings:
This medicinal product should not be used in inflammation of the eyes without advice from an
ophthalmologist and does not replace any other specific medication prescribed by a doctor.
What must be observed during pregnancy and lactation?
As all medicinal products, Echinacea Quarz comp. Augentropfen should only be used during
pregnancy and lactation following a consultation with a doctor.
Interactions with other medicines: None known. Dosage and method of administration: Unless otherwise directed, instil 1 drop into the conjunctival sac once to twice daily up to every hour (see Directions for use / Application of the drops). Duration of use: The treatment of an acute affection should be completed after 2 weeks. If no improvement occurs within 2 days, a doctor must be consulted. The treatment duration of chronic conditions requires a consultation with a doctor. Side effects: Very rarely hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Skin rashes, itching, rarely swelling of the face, shortness of breath, dizziness and fall in blood pressure have been observed for medicinal products containing formulations of purple coneflower. In such cases you should discontinue use of the medicinal product and consult your doctor. The eye drops in the single-dose containers are only intended for a single application after opening. Any liquid remaining in the container after application must not be used. Composition: 0.5 ml contain: Active substances: Argentum metallicum Dil. D29 aquos. Atropa belladonna ex herba ferm 33a Dil. D14 (HAB, Method 33a) Echinacea pallida e planta tota ferm 33c Dil. D2 (HAB, Method 33c) Rosae aetheroleum Dil. D7 (HAB, Method 5a, Sol. D1 with Ethanol 94% (m/m)) (The ingredients 1, 2 and 4 are potentised together in the antepenultimate step and the
ingredients 1 to 4 in the last two steps.)
Excipients:
Sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, water for injections.
Dosage form and package sizes:
5 single-dose containers, 30 single-dose containers of 0.5 ml eye drops each

Opening: Break one container off the strip and open by twisting off the flat flange.

Application of the drops: Tilt head backwards. Pull the lower eyelid slightly downwards with
the index finger of one hand. With the other hand instil one drop of the fluid into the
conjunctival sac by squeezing gently on the container.
Make sure that the single-dose container does not come into contact with the eye!
Then, if possible, keep the eye open and move it around so that the fluid is well distributed.
