Emerald Kalama Chemical K-FLEX® Dibenzoate Plasticizers and Coalescents Products Available K-FLEX® DE - shows excellent viscosity response when formulated into PVA and EVA emulsions. Although solidifying at about 20˚C, it does not freeze in the formulated form. K-FLEX® DP - the most versatile product in the K-FLEX plasticizer product line. In addition to its use in adhesive applications, K-FLEX DP is a primary plasticizer for PVC resins. K-FLEX DP has additional uses in personal care and as an inert carrier for pesticides. It has the lowest solidification temperature of any of the K-FLEX dibenzoate esters, tending to form a glass or a super cooled liquidat around - 30° C (- 22°F). K-FLEX® 500 - the most widely used of the K-FLEX plasticizers in adhesive applications. It is an excellent choice for use in latex adhesives and caulks, hot melt adhesives, a variety of coating applications and PVC formulations. K-FLEX 500 is a very good alternative to fast-fusing phthalates. K-FLEX 500 does not have a simple freeze point but tends to form a super cooled liquid at around 0° C (32°F). K-FLEX® 800 - widely used in adhesive applications. It is an excellent choice for use in latex adhesives and caulks, hot melt adhesives, and in a variety of coating applications and PVC formulations. Like K-FLEX 500, K-FLEX 800 is a very good alternative to fast-fusing phthalates. This product is specially formulated to meet the labeling requirements for materials carrying the R52/53 designation of the European Union legislation 67/548/EEC. K-FLEX 800 retains the viscosity enhancing characteristics of K-FLEX DE for PVA and EVA emulsions while exhibiting improved resistance to freezing while in storage. K-FLEX® 850S- widely used in price-sensitive applications. It is an excellent choice for use in latex adhesives and caulks, hot melt adhesives, and in a variety of coating applications. K-FLEX 850S is specially formulated to meet the labeling requirements for materials carrying the R52/53 designation of the European Union legislation 67/548/EEC.
